Our policies

WE ARE A TEAM BASED SALON

Our salon takes a team-based approach, so you benefit from the expertise of multiple stylists during your visit. One may handle your wash, another may focus on treatments or prep, and another will bring your look to life with the final style or cut.

By working together, we make sure every strand is cared for with the highest level of attention.

THE LEARNING CHAIR

The Learning Chair offers discounted wash, treatment, and simple styling on select dates, giving upcoming professionals hands-on practice perfecting services. All clients, including New Clients, may book services under The Learning Chair calendar.

PAYMENTS & FEES

A card on file and/or a non-refundable deposit is required to book an appointment with us.

Forms of Payment

We accept card & chip payments for all services. Clients should expect an additional NYS Sales tax to be included in final pricing for all services and products.

For your convenience, please bring exact change if you wish to provide a cash tip for your stylist.

Specialty Service Fees

We request that all clients arrive with their hair fully detangled and separated as much as possible, to ensure we can start appointments on time. For clients who’s curls may require extra attention (such as extreme density, length, or tangling) a service fee will be charged for the additional labor.

These fees may vary, from $15-$50, dependent upon the state of the hair upon arrival– feel free to email us prior to your appointment to confirm any potential fees that may be added to the cost of service.

Lateness

While we maintain a 10-minute grace period as a courtesy, any late arrivals beyond this grace period will hinder your hairstylist and compromise the quality of service for clients following your appointment.

For this reason, a late fee will be automatically added to your service if you arrive more than 10 minutes late, and any arrival after that grace period may result in your appointment being rescheduled to avoid further inconvenience to other patrons.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we request at least a 24 hour notice.

With Deposit: If you paid a deposit, it is non-refundable and will be used as the cancellation fee in the event of a no-show or cancellation. However, if you request to reschedule more than 24 hours before the appointment, we will automatically roll over your deposit to your new appointment date.

Without Deposit: If you did not pay a deposit and cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, the card on file will be charged a $60 cancellation fee.

No Show Clients

Clients who fail to arrive for their scheduled appointment, without prior notification, will be considered a No Show client. In extreme cases, repeated no-shows may result in being banned from our books at the discretion of your professional.

If scheduled with Deposit: The deposit will be used as the cancellation fee. Additionally, you will need to pay the full amount of the service up front, when booking your next appointment.

If scheduled without Deposit: You will be required to pay a rebooking fee equal to the full cost of your missed appointment before being permitted to schedule another appointment.
